In 2005 I visited Adolfo Cardozo in Venezuela. is a Venezuelan musician and professor of animal science who has written and recorded songs for environmental education. He created Doctora Gallina, “doctor chicken”.

Adolfo and I often visited a family-style night spot called La Caney del Arpa, which translates roughly as “the harp hut.”

More context can be found in memoirs.

The picture here is at the Caney del Arpa. Young Cesar Cardozo’s stands with maracas in front of his father, Adolfo. The harpist’s nickname is Longo.
