Cameron Hempstead: Millennium Park Princess of Los Gatos, Saratoga and Campbell
Date: Wed, 17 Mar 2004 10:06:29 EST Subject: [MillenniumHarpers] I finished my Quest! From Cameron Hempstead
Hi, I have completed my quest of playing at 25 parks in Los Gatos, Saratoga and Campbell, California. I did a power point presentation of the quest and my mom is trying to figure out how to upload it on to the site, or send it out to everyone. I had hoped to have a web site done by now, but homework has been taking a lot of my time. I'm attaching a picture of my playing for Mikella, a deaf girl who could feel the vibration of the harp. She was learning how to sign colors and she liked that the strings had different colors. Happy St. Patrick's Day, Cameron Hempstead
Earlier declaration: I, Cameron Hempstead, do hereby declare my Millennium Quest for 2003. I will be playing at parks in Los Gatos, Saratoga and Campbell. I would like to introduce children to the harp and let them know there are other instruments they can play besides the piano, etc. I also want to develop a repertoire of songs that I can play for them, songs that children will recognize and also songs that they might like. Some of the parks I will be playing at are: Bachman, Oak Meadow, Vasona, Plaza, Civic Center, Blossom Hill, Worcester, Live Oak Manor, Belgatos, House, Hakone Gardens, Villa Montalvo, Congress Springs, El Quito, Kevin Moran, Gardner, Wildwood, Brookglen, San Tomas, John D. Morgan, Joseph, Campbell Creek, Doer, Butcher, Branham and Lone Hill Parks. My mom will be taking pictures of me playing my harp at these parks and also pictures of any kids listening or trying to play the harp. At the end I will put together a journal of the quest with my experiences. When I complete my quest I would like to be known as the Millennium Park Princess of Los Gatos, Saratoga and Campbell.
