Skye Hurlburt: Millennium Harper of Southern and Southeastern New England, 2002

From: Skye@s... Date: Sat Dec 28, 2002 8:37 am Subject: Re: [MillenniumHarpers] Quest accomplished

My 25-year-old son's 2002 quest was to become a pilot, taking his first flight instruction on January 21st and becoming himself a flight instructor last month. To finish *my* Quest for 2002, yesterday he flew me (with my Rafaella) to the last three counties that I needed to play in in southern New England (Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, and the Cape). It was a wonderful way to complete my Quest and honor his (he lives in Chicago)! Over New Year's I will post the remaining harp-sharing photos to my website. I'm sure I'll be adding to them as I go along in 2003. The confusion between Millennium Harper of Southeastern New England and Southern New England is over with! I, Skye Hurlburt, am now Millennium Harper of Southern and Southeastern New England, by virtue of having brought my music with harp to more than 400 senior gatherings throughout the region in 2001, and subsequently during the year 2002 expanding my area, audience, and emphasis by performing in all of Southern New England's 27 counties, as listed below.?? Documented by photographs, I will bring my music with harp to thousands of seniors again, but also will sing with and play for young children, and will provide the opportunity for hands-on harping to both age groups using a Rafaella harp purchased from the Harping for Harmony Foundation.
